THE ALHAMBRA
The Alhambra is a colossal palace and fortress located in the city of Granada in the Andalusia region of Spain.
Construction started in 1238 during the Moorish occupation of Spain. Alhambra means “the red one” in Arabic, due to the terracotta color of its walls.
The Alhambra’s suspended gardens are a unique wonder, a paradise of tranquility and beauty. The trees, bushes, plants, and flowers in the gardens are irrigated by fountains with water canalized from many kilometers away.
THE ODEON OF HERODES ATTICUS
The Odeon of Herodes was built in 161 AD (1,860 years ago) by Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife Annia Regilla.
The Odeon of Herodes was used as a theater for music concerts with a capacity of 5000 people and is considered to be one of the finest open-air theaters in the world.
The Odeon of Herodes is in Athens Greece.
