A Call to Global ACTION

Hollywood has painted a picture showing North America as a land of unrealistic paradise, of law and order, where gardens bloom, streets are clean, and justice is fair. It’s a land where no one is in debt, everyone can make ends meet, and hard work leads to success. However, this image often does not reflect reality, particularly for those not wealthy.

Migrants risk their lives crossing the river at the Southern border, driven by the hope of finding such a paradise, where everybody could be rich only to face harsh realities and selective justice. The truth is, these promised lands are not always welcoming to some foreigners, and the dream of an Eden can quickly turn into a nightmare. This is why governments around the world must launch awareness campaigns to protect their citizens from such perilous journeys.

Governments must take responsibility for keeping their people safe by creating jobs, offering free education, and addressing the root causes that drive migration. Instead of allowing the fantasy of an unattainable Eden to take hold, these countries should work towards making their own lands places of opportunity and growth. The true dream should be to stay and improve one’s own country, rather than risking everything for an uncertain future elsewhere.

By fostering local development and ensuring equal opportunities, governments can prevent the loss of lives and the heartbreak that comes from dangerous migrations. It is their moral obligation to protect and provide for their citizens, ensuring hope and prosperity are found at home and not across the hazardous river of the Southern border.
